When I started blogging
a million 6 years ago, I didn’t think about anything else but the act of writing and blogging. I didn’t care about SEO, making money, Google Ads, networks and communities, or blog hops. All I cared about was writing content that I loved, sharing it, and checking out people who were actually reading my blog. As I spent more and more time blogging, I met people and we connected through the World Wide Web. We started groups, kept each other accountable, and transformed each others blogs.
What’s Missing Now
If you want to start a blog, or make money from a blog, there are thousands of different resources available to you. From ebooks, to courses, blogs, and free articles, there are so many places for you to get information to make things happen in the way you want them to.
The one thing that we find missing or that we can not find at all, is someone to keep us accountable.
Accountability is important because no matter what amazing advice you are given, nothing will happen until you literally make it happen.
I can tell you all day long what you need to do, the steps you need to take, and even give you a step by step marketing plan. But if you never take the first step, then all of the information is wasted. Whether it’s time wasted or money wasted.
The truth of the matter is, we don’t need anyone else telling us what to do anymore. What bloggers need is someone or a group of people making them take those steps, keeping them accountable, and helping them get around any roadblocks and obstacles that are keeping them from moving forwrd.
I was listening in on a Work At Home Moms webinar about how to manage your time, and after the first 10 minutes, I said to myself, “I know this stuff, everyone listenting in knows this stuff.” Our problem is actually implementing them into our daily lives. Some people think this can be solved by them telling us exactly how to implemenet their strateigies. But that’s not the point, if we don’t actually do it, then nothing is going to happen. Period.
My advice to you is to seek out a fellow blogger, friend, or blog coach who can step by step tell you want you need to do, and then follow up and make sure it’s done. A football coach doesn’t tell you what to do and then walk away, he chases your butt down the field and throws you ball after ball until you’ve done it right.
Implementing what it is you know and love is what it will take to truly succeed, but finding someone to push you along the way, will guarantee you get to the place where you want to be!
